Affiliates

The American Board of Criminalistics no longer offers Affiliate status.   If you are currently an Affiliate, you will be given the remainder of your five years to obtain the required two years of experience and apply for full certification. ​
Requirements

Due March 1:
  • Annual Maintenance Fee
  • Rules of Professional Conduct

After March 1, the Affiliate will be placed on probation until the fees are paid and the Rules of Professional Conduct are received. 

After June 1, the Affiliate will be place on suspension until the fees are paid and the Rules of Professional Conduct are received.

After September 1, the Affiliate’s Status will be revoked.
Fees

Annual Maintenance Fees: $40

Packets received March 2-June 1:
Late Fee: $50 + Maintenance

Packets received after June 1:
Penalty Fee:  $175 + Maintenance

Promotion
Affiliates have five years after successfully completing the certification examination to gain the required two-year work experience.

There are no extensions to Affiliate status.

Affiliates should submit their Request for Promotion Form no later than 60 days prior to the expiration date of Affiliate status to ensure adequate processing time.
