Host an Examination Offering
Cost of Hosting An Examination Offering
The ABC will provide a Proctor (formerly Test Site Manager) to any agency requesting an offering. The agency will be required to provide a suitable site for the offering and an LAC (Local Arrangements Coordinator). The date selected for the examination should be at least 4 months from the date the request was received; however, 4 months is a guideline. Electronic testing allows more flexibility with this timeline.
If the ABC provides a Proctor for an examination, travel-related expenses (meals, hotel, airfare, mileage, etc.) will be reimbursed to the Proctor. The responsibility for reimbursement will depend on the number of candidates sitting for the examination:
- 1-4 candidates, host is responsible for 100% of the expenses
- 5-6 candidate, host is responsible for 50% of the expenses and the ABC is responsible for remainder
- 7 or more candidates, the ABC is responsible for 100% of the expenses
If the agency provides the Proctor, no costs will be incurred.
For more details email the Registrar.
Personnel Arrangements
For electronic sittings, the host agency is responsible for providing personnel. There must be one Proctor, one Monitor, and one LAC (Local Arrangements Coordinator). The Proctor or Monitor may act as the LAC. For offerings with more than 10 candidates, more Monitors will be necessary. There are no requirements or limitations as to who can be a Monitor. The Proctor has the following requirements:
- Must be a current ABC certificant
- Cannot have a personal relationship with a candidate sitting for an examination
- Cannot be the supervisor or subordinate of a candidate sitting for an examination
Facility Arrangements
The LAC who will be the primary contact with the ABC Proctor and will be responsible for ensuring that the facility will meet the requirements set forth by ABC. Review LAC Instructions and Checklist document linked below. Complete this checklist prior to requesting to host an examination.
