Biological Evidence Screening Examination
The Biological Evidence Screening certification examination is designed for individuals who are actively working in a forensic science laboratory performing biological evidence screening work. This work may include, but is not limited to, performing presumptive and confirmatory tests for blood, semen, and miscellaneous body fluids.

The examination consists of 50 questions, plus 10 pilot questions. The examination lasts up to 1 hour, 30 minutes.
Qualifications for initial certification and recertification are found in the Certification Scheme. Duties and associated tasks used to develop the certification examination are located in the Job Description. The examination outline, suggested references, and example questions are contained in the Study Guide.
