Forensic Organizations Approved for Recertification Points
Adding Organizations to the Approved List for Membership, Meetings or Both
If you would like to have an organization added to the Approved Listing, please write a letter to the Board of Directors for their consideration. For approval for membership, the organization must have a forensic mission or a forensic section. For approval for meetings, the meetings must have a forensic track or section.
Not only should your letter contain information about the forensic aspects of the organization in question, the organization must also meet the following criteria. Proof that the organization in question meets these criteria must also be included in your letter:
The organization in question will be voted on by the Board of Directors as soon as practicable.

Not only should your letter contain information about the forensic aspects of the organization in question, the organization must also meet the following criteria. Proof that the organization in question meets these criteria must also be included in your letter:
- Non-Profit
- Constitution or set of bylaws and rules
- Code of Ethics or Professional Conduct Guidelines
- Membership Guidelines and a mechanism for screening for professional competency
- Organized Leadership in the form of a Board of Directors, Executive Board, or Set of Officers
- Members have a mechanism for input to the organization (voting, etc.)
- Membership must be open to any qualified individual
- Demonstration that the organization is currently active
The organization in question will be voted on by the Board of Directors as soon as practicable.
